Google chrome problems -Checkbox and Radio button does not show

I have been using google chrome browser for more than 4 months. Google chrome is my first choice because to need a webpage I need minimal mouse/keyboard interaction. But from yesterday I puzzled while using google chrome. Today's date is July, 02, 2009 and I am using google chrome version 2.0.172.33.

The problem I am facing is, google chrome does not show up check boxes and radio button as well as in the drop down menu arrow sign is not displayed. So, whenever I need to select any check boxes or radio button from a site in fact it looks something odd to me. Just like a blind man either I have to click mouse around check boxes or by pressing tab keyword and then select the boxes/button by pressing space bar.

Till now the problem remains. But there are some workarounds by which you can solve the problems until google solve the chrome bug.

1)Restart the machine. After you starting start google chrome you will see they are shown properly. But restarting may be ridiculous while you are doing many jobs and you have many windows open at a time.

2)Keep your chrome window open.
Close any firefox/ internet explorer.
Just open firefox/internet explorer and close them.
Return to chrome window and if you move mouse around check boxes/radio button they will be displayed. For any new pages they would be displayed nice.

If you want to recreate problem then while keep opening google chrome open firefox/IE. Keep firefox window opens and problem will start. Whenever you close firefox/IE window problem will go away.

3)Some interesting observation is that, if you change the view in gmail from standard to basic html or from older version to newer version then it solve the problem. However if you again open a firefox window then problem again start and if again you change the gmail window from basic html to newer version or vice versa then it avoids problem.

4)A faster way to do solve the problem is right click on the task bar select properties and then select cancel. Now you will see your radio button, check boxes are appeared.

5)In Windows XP,
Right-click My Computer,
Select Properties,
Go to Advanced tab,
Select Performance Settings,
Under Visual Effect select "Use Visual Styles on windows and buttons."
And then click apply.

6)Just open task manager window and close it. That will solve the problem.
By pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL or right click on task bar then select Task Manager or by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC you can bring Task manger. I saw that this option does not reproduce problem. But it only fix for open window.

Out of the above workarounds it seems to me that number 6 is the best option to avoid the problem because it needs less time to open a task manager and most important is
it does not reproduce problem. At least I could not do it at first glace.
